This community center was the last part of a new construction housing complex by the Allegheny County Housing
Authority. At a cost of $800,000, this building provides space for community offices, a library, computer center,
multi-purpose room, commercial kitchen, and housing authority maintenance facilities. In addition, it provides
exterior recreational spaces including a large patio and a basketball court. The residential style of the building helps it to fit into the neighborhood of one and two story duplexes. The covered entry porch and multiple gables maintain a human scale to the large building. This is a Lami Grubb Architects project.
